sweating : does anyone else have... - British Heart Fou...
sweating
I sweat everyday I work on our small holding . Wheelbarrow work ,loading and walking the very heavy barrow to a neighbouring farm to tip the horse manure . Filling hay nets and feed trough , walking my Lurcher . Then I sweat profusely when I’m training , jogging on my treadmill , but not when lifting weights. No different to before I had Nstemi heart attack in July and quadruple bypass surgery. Aged 61, 5’8 77kg. What is your concern with the sweat ?
You don’t say if you are struggling with walking for 15 minutes , what effort if you struggle if you are overweight/obese , have a background of sport/training/exercise and have always sweated.
If I walk 2km in just under 30 minutes on rough ground with my dog , I generally get a sweaty back.
Hello - yesI do. I am female though and well past that time of my life when sweats come upon us women. I keep saying to any medic I can ‘how I sweat profusely on the slightest exertion’ a bit of light housework, a slight walk and don’t even mention the warmer weather. I constantly carry a mini fan. I would be interested to see if anyone else on here can shed any light on this. Cheers 😊
I am a female diagnosed with microvascular dysfunction. Amongst the symptoms I experience occasionally are profuse night sweats but not during the day. A search on the Internet resulted in various interesting articles with possible explanations to the relationship between profuse sweating and heart failure. Ann example is below. I hope it's of help.
Best wishes

Grancacique my heart function is between 20-15% and I don’t sweat unless I’m really hot like this summer. Even exercising, I mostly walk, but I don’t sweat running water. I feel hot, flush and uncomfortable, especially during the night, so maybe I’m the exception in that report.
I do know my limits which is breathlessness and once I feel hot I become breathless, but too cold a weather makes me breathless too. All the best.
