Hi all, I have had historical sore and achy leg muscles but since the thrombus in my heart, heart attack and medication I think it has got worse. I stopped taking statins for a while and that allowed me to run again ok but I still have achy and sore muscles. It’s mainly hamstrings but a bit in my calves. Doesn’t seem to be exercise related as I can get it in bed as well
Anyone else have this?

I also have intermittent muscle pain caused I am quite sure by Amlodopine a calcium channel blocker? How do I know? After a while my symptoms subside as I get used to the med and then the pharmacist supplies me with another make of Amlodopinr, back come the pains until I get used to the new make, the make is changed again and back they come and so it goes on.
I thought my statins were causing my muscle aches but I'm beginning to think it's actually lack of hydration. Have you tried having an extra couple of pints of water throughout the day? Simple and obvious, I know but, especially as the days get colder, I think we tend to drink less?
Hi, I do wonder if this is the case. I do have separate urinary frequency. Stopping the statins has allowed me to run again but the leg muscle issue is still there
