Nerve pain after icd fitted.

I had icd fitted on 1st June this year following cardiac arrest. For two weeks afterwards I had intense nerve like pain in my left shoulder. Pain killers didn't work but after a couple of weeks the pain stopped but in past few weeks it has returned not with the intensity of before but enough to wake me at night and cause difficulty for example getting dressed. Apart from this my recovery has been great eg back riding my bike and hill walking alot. Just wondered if anyone else has experienced this and knows of any remedy.

This also happened to me. I had my ICD fitted last Nov. I has nerve pain initially which disappeared for a while, then came back. The pacing clinic advised it was just my body getting used to the foreign body, particularly the norw you start to use your left arm again. It did settle down after a while.

Hi I had a similar experience after my ICD was fitted. The doctor who did my implant referred me to a physiotherapist who was really good. After a few sessions with him, and religiously following the exercises he recommended, it was back to normal.
