I have recently become aware of a pulsating feeling in my lower leg , it almost feels as if it is bubbling under the skin , in my calf and ankle . Is this a normal pulse as it has only been happening for the past 2 weeks ? Do not want to go to my GP if I can help it as it takes around 3 weeks just to get a call back !
Has anybody experienced this ? I have recently started taking magnesium for ectopic heartbeats , I also take beta blockers for the same problem but have been on those for a while now so maybe it could be the magnesium ?

Hi blOObell, I've had popping sensations here and there in calves but it used to be after walking outside when I got back home. That's before I knew I had cardiovascular disease. Medication can also give all sorts of different sensations and side effects. If you don't want to ring Gp perhaps enquire at the pharmacist to see beta blocker, magnesium or any other medication could possibly do it. If still have no answer I would ring to get appointment with your Gp. If its something new and worrying you I would ring Gp.
I had triple heart bypass April and I get this nearly every day and a sort if fluttering in my heart. It doesn't stop me exercising . I'm assuming it's the many meds I'm on. Sorry can't be more specific.
