About 18 months ago I had a stent fitted - didn’t have a heart attack - but every so often I have chest discomfort, like now. I vape quite a lot (ex-smoker). I’m pretty sure that my current bout of discomfort isn’t heart related but my mind is going bonkers and now I don’t know whether I’m having a panic attack or there’s something else going on. I’m quite fit - train 4/5 times a week and my heart rate seems fine (currently 56 ish). How do I approach this?

I had a funny turn and I found it today it's probably my blood pressure, so probably best to go to your GP about it x hope you find what's causing yours, I'm also having my iron levels checked.
HIi'd be asking my GP if poss or call 111, or speak to any followup dept you have access to after yr stent ??
or there are BHF cardiac nurses here on a helpline who are very helpful
panic attacks anxiety i know well and can give physical symptoms
Also training workouts can give muscular/ tendon twinges
I get chest twinges which don't seem to be my heart but connected poss to my love of indoor rowing and bits of gardening when I overdo it
Also maybe the vaping may affect the chest, ongoing research abt all that, and lastly its now the season not only "of mists and mellow fruitfulness" but also colds coughs viruses and "you know what who shall not be named" lol
Take care
Vaping, to my mind is still smoking of a kind! Maybe your body is telling you you would be better off without it!
