If you are suffering from a problem which you believe is a side effect caused by medication you should discuss this with your GP. Medication is there to help us not cause distress, and although some side effects may have to be tolerated, there are often alternatives available which can solve the problem.

Do you take it with food? You need to, I always take mine with my evening meal, and are you on anything to protect your stomach? If you aren't then speak to your GP about getting something. Can't answer about the wheeziness, but again, check with GP.

The Heart Failure Nurse said the problem of Acid Reflux I'd had with an antibiotic was because the GP had forgotten to say it should be taken with food. I keep my Rivaroxaban where I sit for my evening meal.

Yes, I had a problem with the side effects of this medication. Just ask your GP to change it. There are several alternatives.

My cardiologist changed me to Apixaban because of acid indigestion - worth asking about that. (Assuming you’re already taking your rivaroxaban with a main meal, which apparently it needs anyway in order to be metabolised, unlike Apixaban.) Definitely don’t just suffer :) x
