Well, I’m in my gown, going commando and had my Brazilian, so it must be ASD closure day. Woo hoo!

Best wishes for a great outcome. Use that Brazilian to enjoy your favourite beach wear on a holiday to recover. Take care, recover in style.

Hi Yumz, they plugged up my hole with an Amplatzer device via catheter in the groin. Truly amazing when you think the alternate is OSH.

Hello again, It’s all done, the groin wound is ok as long as I don’t laugh or cough and I had a vicious double-sided migraine, first in months. Hoping to escape home today.

Ahh hope you can go home today. I had something similar but it was to repair stenosis in my valve they vaccum packed the wound so it was really small. I was allergic to the anesthesia and I came out in a rash and kept being sick so I was kept in couple of days. Hopefully you won't have any after affects hun x

Wonderful news! Brilliant you could have it repaired without OHS, a big win. Rest up and take it easy once you're home. X

Brilliant, mine was repaired via both groins - it was a difficult one - so arrived back on the ward with my paper knickers cut up both sides! hope you are feeling good today and life will now improve!

I got home same day, quite late because the migraine set things back a bit - I was sleeping it off for a couple of hours and we had a 2.5 hour drive. On the upside I managed to get both lunch and dinner out of the clinic. Groin is easing up a bit now. Only side effect is a bit of an irregular heart beat which tickles a bit. It seems to happen more when I lie on my left side. I may experiment due to my insatiable curiosity😀. I’ve got 2 punctures in my right hand groin because the Cardiologist had to pull his “balloon guided insertion” trick to get the plug to turn 90 degrees. He’s pretty chuffed to have pulled off another difficult one 😀. My Brazilian was not quite Brazilian enough, so changing the dressing was a bit eye watering. My wife was just laughing 😂.
