Thought I ought to pop in for a quick update on my updates.Been back in hospital since Friday evening. For those of you who have been following my frequent flyer trips to A&E in recent weeks. Was watching Friday's TdF highlights when suddenly gripped by chest pain which went into arms. Followed my chest pain protocol with gtn spray and as pain wasn't subsiding called 999. Ambulance duly arrived, probably a pre-programmed route these days,and after initial checks carted off to A&E. Blood tests were ok as were ECGs but Dr in A&E wasn't prepared to send me home. Packed off to AAU (acute assessment unit) where the medical drs and consultant backed the a&e doc and pushed for cardiology to admit me. Been here since friday and my angiogram will now be done as an inpatient. I was akready booked in for thursday but might be done earlier. Sort of glad to be here as I had a little episode sunday morning and they could see the changes in my ecg when pain started and reverting to normal after gtn used.

You must be strabgely reassured that you had another episode in Hospital, and they were able to monitor it. I hope the angio sorts it all out. Be good to hear how it all goes.

It’s nice that they don’t send you home every time you present at A&E. Good luck for the angiogram later today. I’m keeping my fingers crossed it will show something to explain your symptoms 🤞🏽.

Sorry been a long day. Went down to cath lab this morning but was gazumped, quite justifiably, by an emergency. All done and I'm very happy with how it went. Team in the lab were all brilliant. Friendly and incredibly professional. Everything was explained as they went along. So much so I aftually watched the monitor this time.
I read the "I am second on the list" and the are a replies, by reply no3 I was getting just a tad worried.Glad that it's gone well, now I am going back to blossom in spring's comment, I scrolled down because of that tad worried bit.

Sorry to hear you’re in hospital again but I’m glad they admitted you and you’ve had your angiogram , now that you had an episode of whatever is going on while you were there the cardiac team could see the changes on the ecg and find out what’s causing your chest pain . Hope you are doing ok and home soon , take care and look forward to a positive update soon 🤗
Hi, I'm home now and feeling much better. Whilst I won't say an angiogram is an altogether pleasant experience, whatever route they take, it is made so much better when you are in the care of such a dedicate team as we have in our local cardiology dept. Everyone from the cleaners, through to the tea ladies (hot drink my love?), housekeeper, HCAs, Nurses, Drs, the excellent pharmacist and Consultants both on the wards and in the labs do so much to make you feel safe and cared for. They are so calm, professional and friendly. Whilst nervouse waiting outside the lab, not helped by long but perfectly understandable delay whilst they dealt with an emergency, as soon I entered our bang up to date state of the art one I immediately felt in safe hands. It's so modern I began to wonder whether I'd come out as the next Marvel superhero 🦹Thank you all for your kind words.
