They finally called me back and because of my history with heart they told me to go to A&E and get ecg done just to rule out anything serious or could be muscular. I made sure to tell her everything and im glad I did. Thanks to everyone that commented on my post and gave me that extra push so glad I have you guys!! ❤️
Update : They finally called me back... - British Heart Fou...
Update
Just wanna add it's a 3 hour wait. I couldn't explain myself very well on that form they give you so they probably think I'm so everyday Joe with a pain in my arm 😔
Wow that sounds intense! Hope that don't happen to me while im waiting for 3 hours that's before I've even had any physical exam or tests. Oh good grief!
A&E is the safest place for you to be right now and I’m glad they told you to go in. Did you go via ambulance or did someone drive you down?
Keeping my fingers crossed that all is okay x
Thanks tos I got a taxi and my brother came with me x
Hopefully you’ve been triaged and your brother is keeping you good company x
I haven't still waiting been waiting two hours to be seen gona be here a couple more before I even get seen by someone x
A long night ahead of you it seems. A&E might be busier than usual with people coming in who have been affected by the heat. Hang in there x
Thanks hun finally been seen listend to my chest and she could here my murmur she said very loud with stethoscope x they did ecg they said it looked a bit odd so they want to check the tropinin levels in blood to rule out heart attack aw I hope i haven't had one that would be so strange! X
Well it was a good thing that you went in. I hope you know now not to take the chance in the future and get seen to straight away. Whether you’ve had a heart attack or not, you’re still in the best place. Try not to worry too much whilst waiting for the results. Worrying won’t change anything and it’s unnecessary stress for you on top of being poorly already x
Had blood test done and another ecg blood test made me feel well ill had to lie down luckily I was gona be having an ecg so that worked out alright. Just waiting for doctor x
I'm glad you went in. I was told off by paramedics for hesitating. It's easier and cheaper for the NHS to check and send us away than be late to the party and have a bigger issue to deal with.I know, it's boring and uncomfortable. But it is the right thing to do. They're the experts with the kit to find out what's going on. Us guessing isn't very accurate or helpful.
No, the dizzy spell needs to be factored into the whole picture.I don't know if this helps? I've passed the time by making up stories in my head about the other people in the waiting area. It's all a bit of fun and fantasy guessing as if I'm an author writing a book developing characters, or a newspaper heading or article or even a TV news interview. Sometimes I re-cast people into what I think their gaming characters might be. Sometimes I just will the universe to send them whatever they need to heal and recover. Sometimes I meditate.
Doesn't work if I'm feeling lousy but gives me something else to focus on if I have the energy or if I'm with someone else as support.
When there were no chairs or I was too unwell to sit, I lay on the floor using my coat as a pillow. They didn't like that and found me a reclining chair.
I hope they call you in soon.
Another update : had ecg was bit abnormal apparently but they double checked with one they already had on there system. They doing blood test I'm just waiting for one if it shows anything they will keep me in if not its probably just muscular pain which I think it is to be honest. But still glad I came!
Hey, how are you now what did the results say? I had exactly the same 4 weeks ago I'm on some meds now for 3 months while I'm waiting for a mri and 7 day monitor, I have HCM newly diagnosed.
oh wow what symptoms did you have? Did ecgs and bloods come back normal for you?? Well I say ecgs normal normalish 😉🙈. Mine did so didn't show anything heart related so was well happy bout that but still don't know what that pain was in my arm. My back well hurts today 😕😌x
Yes bloods came back normal, but ecg showed irregularities. They gave me meds for 3 months as suspected inflammation around the heart. I'm now 4 weeks in and they help inly slightly. I'm waiting for mri and 7 day monitor from papworth. I have HCM, my cousin had sudden death from it so I'm worried , especially as there's 4 month wait till I get seen for MRI but I'm hoping it may be quicker. I had pain in chest, neck and tingling in my left arm
Aw yours was way worse then mine so sorry to hear x hope you get your mri and holter soon. I'm waiting for my MRI aswell.
Morning, I finally got my mri date yesterday it will be on 17th August, I emailed them chasing it yesterday morning then got a call few hours later to book, maybe you should chase yours if you haven't got it yet .
I've only just seen this Yumz! I'm so glad you took everyone's advice and went to A&E. I'm like yourself and always feel that I might be wasting their valuable time - well you're not! Any medic I've EVER spoken to has told me that they'd rather you come to see them than sit around thinking it might get better. You definitely did the right thing. Hope you're feeling a bit better and getting some answers. Carol
Any updates yet Yumz ?Did they keep you in , or was it muscular?
Aw sorry just saw your reply. They said was probably muscular but because of my heart history they wanted to check just to be safe so they did ecgs and bloods which was fine but they wanted me to send copies of ecgs to heart hospital x still waiting for them to call me I ain't holding my breathe 🙄😢x
Hope everything is okay yumz x
We're all wishing you the best Yumz! Hoping they found out what was going on & have managed to sort things. Also that either they've found you a bed or sent you home to bed, & that you've finally felt comfortable enough to sleep after your late night in A&E. And of course we all hope that you're OK.
Thanks hun x they didn't find out what was happening ecg and bloods came back fine well fine for someone like me 😅😂. My back is hurting so much today well annoying can't get comfortable after sitting in them chairs at hospital 😂🏥. I got home at 2.47! Couldn't wait to go to sleep. I slept till 8 and then woke up again at 12 😅😉😁. X
how are you now are you still there or home now.
Hi thanks for your message. I got home at 2.47 this morning I am exhausted! And feel so hot 🥵. Just woke up 😂 my cat has been sleeping on me all day so that's probably why I'm sweating 🤣🤣x
Thinking of you and wishing you good care. 💕
just seen your other post , how are you today ? It’s good you went to get checked out , hope you’re feeling better x
Aw thanks hun. Yeah everything was good bloods normal ecg was bit odd so they repeated that and gave me copies to send to St barts. So I will email them later so exhausted honestly. Yeah they said that the waves were going in different directions which looked strange but probably wasn't for me they said which is probably right they want me to see if I can arrange an echo with st barts because my murmur has got very loud they looked concerned when they were saying that to be honest. X
I'm glad you're home with a cat and a backache. 😉Also it just shows how important that trip was. Now they'll have records of what's been going on to build a better picture of you.
Glad to hear you are safely back home.
