I’ve received and email from the hospital with some extra informations and waiting for the phone call to make an appointment when the doctor is available. This is what they said:
-Mitral valve - Normal opening
-Aortic valve - Tricuspid, Normal opening-Tricuspid valve - Normal
-Pulmonary valve- Normal
-Contractility : Good for walls, without disturbance of segmental kinetics -Pericardium - Normal
Conclusions:-without signs of overload for right cavity -without disturbance of segmental kinetics
-Heart cavities normal sizes
-Systolic function - normal
-No pulmonary hypertension
-Left ventricular hypertrophy
-Systolic dysfunction delayed relaxation
The last 2 are the bad ones,I can’t understand the second one, but every where I look regarding Systolic dysfunction shows a lot of informations, the grade 1.2.3.4 ,then is Systolic dysfunction, Systolic dysfunction failure and then I’ve read that Systolic dysfunction means that the heart wall is harder/Stiff which means the first one Left ventricular hypertrophy .. there are 2 conditions or is only one condition that has another title ,I don’t understand.
Thanks,

hi that’s good you have more info, write your questions down and have them ready for when you talk to doctor. For example:
Ask specifically about the last two items - ask what do they mean for you?
Ask how severe or mild are they? And then ask dependent on severity what the treatment will be?
Ask are they causing your symptoms?
Ask what do these two issues mean for you going forward?
It’s clear here you need clarity - make sure they answer your questions. They will rush, most do, so check your questions before they end the appointment.
Like you, I find any new report suggesting some heart dysfunction in my own heart, a big shock! But when you have that discussion with your Cardiologist you should get an interpretation of the technical stuff, in words you can understand.
Preparing your list of questions to have by your side, at that discussion, is v good advice by fishface. Also do take notes of the Cardiologists advice to you, I quite often forget key stuff in these important discussions.
Once you understand more clearly whats happening, and any medical help you might need, then you can work out what you can do yourself, to help.
