A fantastic sunny day today I am going to give the Garden chair and a good book a thrashing today.
I have recently been diagnosed with some heart issues, it seems 3 stents may be a solution rather than surgery. The reason for writing is please please let there be an advice column for negative topics and thoughts and one for positive comments.
I lead a healthy lifestyle. I do a dog walk 3 miles every day and play golf and run a bustling business this heart problem has just got in the way.
Reading some of the comments and being a member of this community is a real eye-opener. I can only wish everyone well and a happy future. I am going to make every effort to pull out all the positives from what the future holds, it's amazing what happens when your you turn your thinking on its head. The sun is brighter (sometimes ha) smiles and laughter are an essential part of the therapy. Do let's hear some good news, medicine has advanced so much in the last few years and dare I say it the doctors, nurses and surgeons are amazing.
Best Wishes to all
Tim

Welcome Tim !The garden chair and a good book sounds a great idea.
I am also the lucky owner of 3 shiny stents.
One fitted on 27th February and the other 2 were two days later.
Looking ahead now and taking more notice of the good things in life 🙂
or I would be if I hadn't hurt my back yesterday! 😐🤣
Dear Tim
Welcome to your first of { we hope } many posts, I am really pleased that you have taken this stance with your diagnosis and your future treatment.
Positivity can be a great help for not only you as the patient but also your loved ones and friends that will be going though their own worries and fears over you.
Without being negative we have to remember that there are many that need our help as they cannot, for whatever reason, see anything positive with their diagnosis and treatments, a lot of this is based on fear and anxiety.
But enjoy this sunshine and that book, soak in life as you ready yourself for your heart journey.
I'd actually had 3 visits to a sports physio as I'd hurt it several weeks ago on a bike ride, it was pretty much back to normal and it went again yesterday picking up a towel off the bathroom floor 😐
Morning at 58 I collapsed and was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy and severe heart failure, I have a faulty gene. I was listed for transplant, three years ago that day came in the middle of lockdown. What a difference to my life it has made, I am still here for a start 😅 even with the heavy duty meds it's amazing what I can do now. I can't thank my donor and the amazing medics at the golden jubilee in Scotland, they worked miracles and gave me life. I go twice a year echo and MRI and just keep taking the pills. That's my good story, bad is my son has the gene but at the moment he is absolutely fine and I know he will be well looked after. Char
