Got a dog...

Six months after my very minor but unexplained HA I was 60. After the fabulous local rehab team had put me on the right track I was trying but failing to introduce a sustainable exercise routine. We also needed to get out of the Covid/work from home rut that was worse for exercise and well being than the commute and office rut.

For 14 years we had been telling ourselves we couldn't get a dog, it wasn't fair on the cats. I am notoriously difficult to buy birthday presents for but my wife knows me and my health needs well and someone recommended Spaniel Aid UK. They are a brilliant little charity who know , care for and love the dogs they help and are very good at finding them the right home. As you can see from the picture, when they said Ava liked cats, they meant it and, as for exercise, we are shattered but very happy.

I know that dogs aren't for everyone but, for us, giving Ava a loving home has been the best health, recovery and happiness move we could have made. Towed out of our rut on the end of her lead.
