As I write this I’m basking in the sun in Tenerife, but, jeesh it’s warm.
My query is about exercising in the heat and subsequent blisters, I know it’s a BHF post, but since my HA when it gets warm I have different ailments randomly pop up. Maybe due to the meds but I was wondering if anybody else had any odd issues?
My left foot has blistered, no not sunburn as I creamed up, but more of a new shoes type of blister on the top of my foot, which seems to be expanding. Even though I was wearing worn in shoes that haven’t caused any issues previously.
Also, on a side note exercising in the heat. Do you find it more difficult? I can run 10k admittedly not in a very fast time but I struggled to do 3k the other day and pre top o’ the foot blister 😂
Anyway sorry for the random oddity
Have a great day everybody

Hello to you and your warming sun
So sorry I have no idea what is going on with the blister but please don't ignore it as it can become infected very quickly.
You are lucky where you are to have extremely good medical services.
As for the exercising then someone will be alone soon to answer that one.
On the whole I haven't been a lot of use to you, but I wanted you to know that I had read your post.
I hope that you can go back to enjoying the sun soon.
Hi Slimdaz,Good for you to keep trying to exercise in the heat ... The only thing I ever run to is the loo (due to the water-tablets to keep my BP stable)
Some ideas of causes of your blister could be..
Maybe it's just that your feet are a bit swollen due to your meds and the heat and so that the shoes that usually fit you & were comfortable have ended up rubbing & hurting your feet?
Maybe it's just prickly-heat-rash & your shoes have then just rubbed it sore?
Might it have started as a rash & be allergy based ... e.g bedding washed in different laundry powder, or a change of washing powders if you've done laundry there or a change in soap or shower gel?
Might it have started as an insect bite & again shoes rubbing in the heat have made it worse?
Whatever it is (& here i'll repeat wot the others say) do take care that the blsters don't get infected.
Please please do see a GP if it's not healing quickly as infections can be dangerous!
I was told feet & legs that swell with heart conditions & / or with old age need to be carefully looked after to avoid ulcers as they take a long time to heal.
And from personal experience i know that sepsis (septicemia / blood posioning) infections are very nasty and best to be avoided.
I wish you a safe journey home and hope that you heal quickly & feel better soon.
Slimdaz .. just one further idea .... If you've been paddling in the sea or burying your feet in the sand, then could it be a jelly-fish sting? If so, might be worth you showing a local chemist / pharamsist as they'd know how best to treat it! Night night. Hope you all seep well.
thank you, no I’ve not been in the water or on the beach. Where we are it’s all rocks so no chance of getting to close to the water anyway.
As for the blister you should go straight to the pharmacy, they will sort you out.About the running, don't forget you are running on very dry hard grounds. That's enough to slow/stop you in your tracks. Not only that but it will damage your joints no end.I was in Gran Canaria last week and I stuck to the gym and swimming.Good luck.
thank you 😊 I’m due to fly home to the UK to tomorrow. I’ll pop to the local badger clinic if my new watery friend is still with me on Tuesday. NHS advice not to burst unless fluid is an odd colour. Luckily at the min it’s still semi clear and soft to touch. It seems to have stopped growing too, which is approx 1.5x2 cm on top of my foot right by the olde porkies crease. Toes 😉 I won’t share a pic as that’s just for the only fans 😂😂😂
