Usually a cardiologists would discuss with you if they feel you need a device fitted and what kind of device they think you need. Have you been diagnosed with that particular cardiomyopathy which the right ventricle is affected? I assume that’s what you’re talking about. If you have they would discuss your options.

If you think that’s what you have then you need to speak to your doctor who would do tests then refer you to a cardiologist. You can’t feel you have that you have to be diagnosed.

I have dilated cardiomyopathy, where the heart muscle doesn’t work and the ventricles are affected and. I was diagnosed when I became ill with my heart beating excessively fast and I went into heart failure. I had to go through many tests to be diagnosed. I was on medication for many years until my heart function became worse then I was given option of a device and told what type they intend to fit. I didn’t feel I had cardiomyopathy, it was after I had tests done I was diagnosed
