Hi I had a mitral valve and tricuspid valve repair November 2021 because of severe mitral regurgitation. Op went well at time of the Op I had impaired LV function and ejection fraction of 35 %. 6 months ago I had follow up echo that showed valve repair well seated and looks good but EF still around 35 to 40 %. I've just had another echo now results show EF up to 61%. My question is can your EF improve 21 % in 6 months ? Detailing now a normal LV function from a previously impaired LV function. Ove always been asymptomatic even with the diagnosed HF so I can't say I feel any different to be honest. I'm a little confused...
