Medication cocktail

My heart attack was in October, 4 stents inserted & now on the following cocktail of prescribed medications: Aspirin, Atorvastatin, Lansoprazole 30mg, Ramipril 25mg, Prasugrel 10mg, Nicorandil 20mg & Tildiem 300mg. Was wondering if anyone has found any side effects from any of the above medication. How long did you remain on these drugs after heart attack?

Been on my cocktail for almost 4 months now. Bisoprolol (1.25mg) was stopped just over 2 weeks ago as resting heart rate was too low, low 30s. Stopped lansaperozole at same time owing to upset bowel. Atorvastatin dropped from 80 to 40 mg. You may well not have any side effects though.

I had my HA 3 years ago last October and had 7 stents.. also was on a cocktail of drugs and still am. My anti coagulation drugs were prescribed for 3 years and although these were stopped in October and another much lower dose of anti coagulant was prescribed (horrible side affects). However the ticagrelor did have the side effect of increasing uric acid, (known side affect)so hopefully on my next blood test this will have dropped, the statin I was originally on also pushed up my sugar level (known side affect). Ramipril gave me the cough so that was replaced. I would suggest you read all the leaflets that come with the drugs and monitor any changes you may have. Don’t be frightened to quote these to you GP if they query your blood work results.

I didn’t read the patient leaflets until my GP decided to berate me on my diet and drinking!!! I hardly ever drink and my diet is so healthy nothing could be changed. He had to admit that it was possible the uric acid and sugar rise was medication related. For your own peace of mind research all your drugs and if they don’t suit you they can be changed.

Thank you. Ramipril is considered a very useful medication for the heart as it also tones up the heart muscle. The dose range is usually 1.25 mg to 10mg and not 25mg. At 2.5mg per day it is usually tolerated very well. Regards.

The only medication I had issue with was Ramipril had a constant dry cough told rehab nurse and she got it replaced by Losartan which I've had no issues with.
