Catheter Ablation

I had the procedure on 3rd of February. I seem to be on the mend and have limited my exercise to walking and a swim.

I sometimes feel a blip and check my heart which still registers NSR.

I continue to take apixaban and sotalol 80mg per day.

Does anyone get occasional burning sensation - I feel this is nerves repairing rather than heartburn feeling?

Hi Bunty, it's good to hear that you are doing so well. I've had three ablations and have never felt the burning you mention. I did once have a pain in my chest one night for about a minute, reported it to my GP next day and he said to let him know if it happened again - it didn't thankfully. When you think of what's been done to your heart it's no wonder it's a bit upset at times.

Take care and let us know how you progress.

hi bunty, you’re still in early days for the healing to take place. Take it easy with the exercise. your hearts been messed with and still probably feeling a little grumpy. Swims can be pretty strenuous so I’d stick to walking and give your heart time to heal.👍
