I recently had to go to London and was shocked to find how unfit I was having to walk and up and down escape. A long winter out of the cold sitting at home has had its toll. I have a CVR-T fitted and emphysema, my back and legs ache so much. Will an exercise bike help along with short walks.

I agree with That was unexpected. It is really important to exercise regularly, without overdoing it. I find if I don't do much for a few days, I have deteriorated. I am hoping to do more, regularly, now spring approaches (I hope).
Thanks, I was told because of medications particularly blood thinners do not get to cold over a long period. I did try a gym program but got stopped due to BP dropping to low. So it looks like short walks and exercise bike for now.
I know the feeling! Since January I've been going to a couple of exercise classes every week, designed especially for us over 50s, (there's some octogenarians who are fitter than me in them!) and am starting to feel the benefit of them (and started to enjoy them!). I'm also trying to increase the amount of walking I do each day. Hopefully I'll be fitter than I am before I go off on holiday. All the best for your improved fitness!
