Hello :-)

I am on this med and it is one I would love to be able to come of as I feel it causes me to be breathless as well as tired and some days I can be falling asleep within an hour of taking it

Others have said the same about it even though some take it with no side effects at all

They want me on this one though so I muddled through but you could speak with your Doctor and they might consider trying you on something else :-) x

Hello :-)

When I first started on BP meds it took a while till I got one that suited me and thought the same as you but try these a bit longer you may settle on them but there are so many BP meds so you will eventually get the right one for you :-) x

Hi I am on 10 mg a day in the morning and like you I had those symptoms, I am glad to say they cleared up but it did take several months.

Thanks for coming back to me I can't understand it should take more than 3 months but maybe 🤔

I have now stopped taking bisoprolol. My symptoms have not changed.

Are you certain that it is not your illness causing issues, not the medication?

I take 2.5 mg of Bisoprolol a day and some days I can feel quite breathless but most days I can feel very tired.

As BeKind said, some days I could fall asleep just an hour after taking them.

My heart rate is in the low 50's and can drop into the 40's and has been known to drop into the 30's when sleeping.

I always feel so fatigued with Bisoprolol.

I too am on Bisoprolol, 1.25mg once a day, amongst a cocktail of other meds. I have days when I feel whacked out and my HR is often down in the 40s. Also have cold feet most of the time. Difficult to know whether its the Bisoprol and or one or more of the drugs causing the tiredness. It's not 3 months yet since I had the HA so that could be a factor too.

I have good and not so good days.

Morning I take 1.25mg twice a day and have struggled. I now take 2.5 at night and it does seem to be better. My BP is extremely low and my heartcrate ranges from 40 to 55. I have dilated cardiomyopathy and I'm also taking entresto which slows everything down. I have good and bad days. Yesterday I felt almost normal which doesn't happen often. Good luck x

It's posts like yours that make me realise how lucky I am. I've always had more ectopics than most but in October, I had nsVT and VT causing presyncope while driving. So now I'm on Bisoprolol 2.5mg am and again pm. Now I have no ectopics, no arrhythmias, no fatigue and no side effects. When I asked about reducing the dose, my GP said if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Good luck with yours.

I was on bisoprolol for blood pressure and palpitations. It helped with palpitations but sent my pulse down to 42 which is too low I was getting dizzy so hospital took me off them. I’m now on amlodopine waiting to see if it works. I’m already on perindopril 8mg but doctor doesn’t want to increase dose.

Was on Bisoprolol 2.5 every day taken in the morning since my HA in September. Just this week Doc has reduced me to 1.25 due to excessive tiredness and breathlessness. I also had pain in my arm and back of neck. I realised it was this pill when I had to stop taking it for 2 days to do a heart stress test. Before that Doc was insisting it was not this pill causing problem. I have been asked to take 1.25 at night so that I sleep better as previously I was awake all night and wanting to sleep in the day. So far I am slightly better but still breathless on exertion. I am hoping the level in my body evens out. My HR is still the same at 66-71 on average.
