Hi I have afib, and am going to Italy in April. I am on rivaroxban and bisoprolol and trying to find out if I need a fit to fly for British Airways. Does anybody know about this please.

Have a lovely day people.

This is the UK Aviation Authority's guidance. caa.co.uk/passengers/before...

I flew with British Airways last year. I rang and spoke to a member of staff and checked with them before flying.

Have a lovely holiday.

I used Staysure or Avanti.

I have also been quoted eye watering prices too!

We fly to the US twice a year. I have paroxismal Afib and it has never crossed my mind to get a fit to fly. Does anyone else? I obviously have travel insurance.

Hi, just new to my condition and wouldn't want any problems with my travel insurance if I needed to make a claim.

I'm relatively new to it too - just over a year - but just wondering if I should have been telling anyone other than insurance!

Flew BA to Germany for a Rhine cruise never thought to tell anyone. Went into AF standing at check in on way back but it is what it is. Couple of Flecainide and 🤞🙏

Hallo, Frank here. At Wythenshawe Defib. Support Group we had a list of Insurers and travel requirements for those wanting to travel overseas. If you`re near that hospital call them and ask. Ian Woodward is their Secretary; a good bloke.

Otherwise your nearest cardiac centre may be able to help.

Hospitals around the UK know which of them have Support Groups, so ask. PALS is one to start with.

Ciao.
