I hope it is filled with better health, live and happiness to us all We are all on a long hard road and must trust that brighter days are ahead of us thanks to the dedication and skill of our surgeon, medical staff and of course our scientists who are constantly working to find even better treatment for all illnesses .Just think if we had been ill 60 years ago we would not have any hope of recovery. What a long way we have come

And Happy 2023 to you too!! I'm hoping to make the long hard road fun and find creative new ways to stay healthy. Great that you mentioned the scientists - the often forgotten back room people whose knowledge and skills are awesome.

As for 60 years ago - well, 50 years ago (so in the 1970s) my dad had three heart attacks in his early 40s. Survived. He then went onto have a bypass, which in those days was pretty alarming - and he survived that as well. He was a tough old bloke. So, 50 years ago our treatments were known and practiced but survival rates were lower. By the way, he died when he was 82. He had a pretty good life. We have indeed come a long way!
