Happy New Year all. Sadly for me it started badly within 5 minutes of midnight, Just when i thought it couldn't be worse than 2020 I got a message that my cousin was in hospital and his son had been allowed to sit with him for an hour and his wife is with him 24/7. He was only given 3 months over a year ago so he's done well but I'm so sad. I only found him about 4 years ago. My mum's baby sister died in childbirth. Her husband moved back to his family and around 1953, travel was not easy so my gran and mum lost touch. Mum searched for that baby all her life then suddenly about 4 years ago I found a message online from HIS son searching for family of that now 65 year old baby. At least I got to meet him and give him photos of his mother.. My mum would have been over the moon

Oh my what a sad ending to a terrible year for you, but how wonderful that you were able to reconnect to part of your family. Sending you a big virtual hug, and the hope that 2021 gives us all better health in body and mind.

More than part of my family. He and his mum's brother's child are the only family I have.
