Hi all

does anyone know anything about RBBB? An ECG showed that I have it. Also get ectopics but doc said they aren’t related. Anyone have any other thoughts?

Thanks

hi Annony, I started with RBBB 2 years ago and was told it was nothing to worry about. Things were left because of covid short staff etc I remember them saying ‘now if it was LBBB we would be more concerned’ so I remembered these words. This October just gone I ended up in A&E because of fainting ‘syncope’. They said it was Anxiety and was sent home! & low blood pressure. A lovely young nurse who did the ECG came and found me in the waiting room and gave me a copy of the ECG and it had LBBB written across it in capital’s. I googled the other result findings that was printed at the top and remembered what I’d been told 2 years ago. Luckily my husband’s job gives him private health care and I’m included in it. He organised for me to see a Cardiologist and an echocardiogram was done. The results were LBBB with a low ejection fraction of 35 and normal is between 55 and 70! I’m now on 2 lots of tablets beta blockers and told not to drive for now. Got to be monitored with the tablets to get the ejection fraction up and regular echocardiograms! He thinks it’s been caught in time but I will be on medication for the rest of my life and regular scans and he says it’s in the genes this condition is hereditary so my sister and son and daughter have got to be checked out as well. Please double check yourself and keep insisting on having regular echos incase RBBB ends up affecting the left side. Pay attention to all your symptoms and tell your GP it’s so important to keep on top of it as it needs to be diagnosed as early as possible and don’t be fobbed off by them saying it’s ‘anxiety’ as the only reason I had anxiety was because no one believed me! I feel better now I’m getting treatment. Ask loads of questions and ask for copies of any tests they do. You have to be a detective yourself sometimes to get anywhere. If mine was left I would be in heart failure now and more serious than it is. Please keep going back to your GP and ask for more tests and regular monitoring just in case. Good luck.
