Hello :-)

The Doctors will know all about your heart condition as well as the meds you might already take and they would not give you these for pneumonia if they would not be safe

Please take them and get better , I got pneumonia and it did not get picked up till I ended up in resuscitation a few years ago so take the meds prescribed :-)

If you feel at any stage your pneumonia is getting any worse or not improving do not hesitate to phone either your Doctors or if you can go to A&E or call an Ambulance

But get these in you and it should do the trick and you will soon feel better :-)

Let us know how you get on :-) x

I was prescribed Clarithromycin as a precaution when my chest wound did not heal properly after my bypass operation, so I would expect there to be no problem in this instance. Having said that, my GP did not check my list of medication properly and at the time I was on Eplerenone and there is an issue between that and Clarithmromycin. I only took one dose of the Clarithromycin and was ill as a result. I now feel it is good to ask questions about medication.
