I have a heart aneurysm measurement 4.9 cm so unfortunately i will have to have open heart surgery. My dad died from heart failure so they think I may have been born with it, but can anyone tell me if a heart aneurysm can make you tired, as my consultant was very vague with the symptoms and I'm so fatigued !

Hello :-)

I am sorry your Consultant has been so vague with you and the symptoms you might get

I would imagine even though I don't have what you do but anything wrong with the heart as well as the worry it might bring with it can make us feel tired as well as any medications you maybe taking can to

Have you tried phoning the BHF Nurses I am sure they will go through more details about your condition and how it will make you feel I would really speak with them :-)

I have put their details on and maybe give them a ring and let is know how you get on :-) x

Hello :-)

I take blood pressure tablets and one after an hour of taking it I am so tired all day

My Doctor has now put me on a lower dose which I am yet to see if it makes a difference but you could do with maybe talking to your Doctor even though not always easy

I am sure the BHF Nurses will have some good advice for you to :-) x

Hi

I have a heart aneurysm too it measures 4.4 cm and they have put me on 6 months checkup/scan .. my mother died of an undiagnosed aneurysm.. so they have also ?? it might run in the family too but nother is defo.. And to answer your question I feel tired a lot of the time too .. I was diagnosed 6 months ago and they have changed my meds so I put it down to that .. I’m slowly starting to feel a a litte better but I still feel tired and I try to pace my self.. Are they monitoring you?
