Dear Yumz199725
We tend to rule out just the common cold when these things hit us with our underlying illnesses.
Here the air has taken on that winter dampness and I am finding it harder to breath when I get outside.
I find that still wearing a mask helps warm the air before I breath it in { am I the only one still wearing one ? }
But if you are worried then I would give your Dr/111 a quick call and go on their advice.
It could be the common cold which can hang around for weeks or keep recurring at a low level. It could also be the high humidity associated with the wet conditions recently. This from a link.
"High levels of humidity may play a role in asthma symptoms in a variety of ways. The increased moisture can directly irritate the airways, and humidity can increase the levels of other substances in the air that irritate the bronchial tubes, such as pollen and pollution."
Have you got anything in your home that shows relative humidity? at this time of year, the outside air is often 100% humid especially when it's raining. Inside our home for weeks, it has been around 65 to 75%. We do live close to the sea which will have an impact.
With the high relative humidity comes not only more likelihood of pollen and pollution but also that perhaps damp appears on walls in the form of mildew.
So, by all means contact the medics but you might like to check your humidity levels and work from there
I’ve been wheezing and then coughing up phlegm . Went to see doc and he explained all our sinuses gather mucus at back of throat and this what causes the cough .As long as you don’t have a temp and your peak flow and chest is clear it is probably viral .
Thanks everyone I think your right just a cold don't worry I wasn't gona contact 111 I know it's nothing serious just wanted an opinion or advice that wasn't from Google.
