Hi Duncanwhite sorry to hear there not taking you seriously I am on verapamil for palpitations and the anxiety is awful which only makes things worse I have been getting pins and needles in my left hand alot so maybe don't settle for what they say there not concerned keep at them till they take you seriously hope your able to get the answers you need.
So worrying been waiting for todays results for ages . Not surs hes correct how poorly do you have to be . Must be more test they can do
I know it's very frustrating you know your not well and someone telling you oh it's nothing to be concerned about. Yeah there should be some tests they can do an echo, ecg, cardiopulmonary exercise test so what's causing palpitations and 24 - 48 hour holter monitor I have had all these and some multiple times before anyone took me seriously about my palpitations I mean I am with a specialist hospital have been my whole life so if I say I'm having palpitations and symptoms like light headedness and nausea they will take me seriously hope you can get some tests to see whats the cause of the palpitations can I ask do you get any symptoms when you get the palpitations because if so that's important to tell your doctor.
Take care and hope you get to the bottom of these palpitations and the cause! 😉
They are not too concerned, so you have time to take action, Look carefully at your diet, and make sure you get regular exercise.
One time, on my discharge sheet, I noticed a mention of cardiomegaly, also atelectasis. It was never mentioned to me, either by cardiologist or GP. They also didn't mention I was pre-diabetic - I only found that out on a ward round the next time I was in hospital. Obviously, they weren't concerned about it.
