Hi all I would appreciate a bit of advice if possible. I had 2 AFib warnings on my Apple watch yesterday one at 9am and the other 11pm. As I have a Kardia mobile I tried that several times yesterday and all readings showed possible AFib. My heartrate was irregular although I finished my 6klm walk with no difficulties and no symptoms all day. This morning I took 2 Kardia readings and all normal sinus rhytem although quite a few ectopics (which I have had for years now). I feel good and do not fancy sitting in A&E all day, nor do I fancy paying several hundred pounds to have it checked by a private clinic. I would prefer to wait and see if it disappears but unsure if this is the proper thing to do. heartrate is high 50s as normal, BP 130/77 a bit higher than my normal. Decisions!!! any advice please.

Thank you I will send it on to him.
Dear wischo
As Heartifact has already said, get someone professional to have a look at the readings, but to be honest with you I personally think that the Kardia gives more accurate reading than an Apple Watch.
You have to make sure the sensor on the watch is clean, sweat can cause all sort of wrong readings.
But then with the pair of them, they are guides and you have to take an average reading to be as accurate as possible.
At the end of the day it has made you worried enough to ask the question on here, that worry has to be addressed and I think the best for that would be someone medically trained to understand the readings that you are getting.
Take care and please let us know the outcome
Thank you Blue, I have made an appointment to see my GP for 12pm tomorrow. Not sure if he will do anything as the possible afib reading is back on the kardia so I am expecting him to ship me over to A&E or similar. With both the watch and the Kardia telling me its afib you are correct I am a bit worried. I had a few of these readings in the last two years and my cardiologist looked at the Kardia traces and said it was ectopics which I do have but I have never had a sustained afib reading before so whatever it is better to have it checked. Thank you for your reply and I will post any results on this. I was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy 11 years ago, then had a left coronary stent and the ectopics etc I feel a little bit like flip it, if it happens it happens as you do get tired of chasing answers.
Thank you for that I can only hope mine is the same.
Hi
I had a double bypass in May of this year and after discharge post Op at home my Apple Watch was alarming for Afib. I emailed my cardiac nurse team and attached the four alarms in .PDF format who gave the alarms to a cardiologist. The cardiologist put my mind at rest explaining it was ectopic beats and common after bypass.
So my advice is send the alarms to your GP or cardiac team who will put your mind at rest one way or another, the medical profession know best.
It would be better to consult for a checkup ...Arythmia could be there and hence your mobile and watch are picking it
