Hi All not posted in a while because everything was going great until now! I had been ill in October with a bad fever which required antibiotics a week after I was off them my palpitations and panic attack came out of nowhere I have had no anxiety for the last 4/5 months it was all going well. Does anyone know if antibiotics can mess up your system and cause palpitations and anxiety all over again? I had no palpitations at all whilst ill for 2 weeks. I am crushing here I had made so many changes and thought I had answers.

Would not have thought so, unless you have a reaction to them as any drug can. Take care
Hello your post resonates with me. My husband has recently been on a course of antibiotics lasting 4 weeks and he started to suffer from palpitations towards the end of the course. He has had palpitations on and off for a while and was checked out in August and told all was ok. They seemed to subside after this but have returned which is causing him extreme anxiety… a vicious circle as I think the anxiety makes the palpitations worse but I’m no cardiologist! We are due to have a follow up meeting with the cardiologist next week so we will raise the issue of antibiotics with him. Hope things settle down for you soon.
