morning,
I had a chest X-ray, had a pocket of air after the drains were taken out, just checking that it had dispersed. It was great though he showed me my heart before surgery next to the one taken that morning! Said my heart was now beautiful! Also put the stethoscope on my chest.
Just ask the normal questions how I was feeling, sleeping and my exercise. Answered a couple of questions I had. Discharged me back to the cardiologist.
Can tell you I did a little dance going back down the corridor.
Take good care
Pauline
I saw my consultant at the Royal Papworth a couple of weeks ago after my triple bypass and valve replacement in June. I’ a 76 year old male.
I was given an ECG and x-ray then chatted with the consultant. As others have said nothing to worry about. In my case they don’t want to see me again for a year.
The hospital was very thorough several weeks prior to that meeting in giving me an electrocardiography and checking my pacemaker in the Devices Clinic
Pleased to hear you negotiated the final hurdle successfully. The weeks after the operation are not easy, I agree. Good luck for the future
