Hi I wood like to have some advise about high blood pressure, I’m 30 years female and struggling with my blood pressure. I think that I feeling unwell of blood pressure I have headache , it’s been days that I cant see clearly, dizziness, skin feels sticky , when I come to bed sleep heart feels come out by my mouth, and then I check my blood pressure it’s 148/93 some days it’s 150/95 . At the morning usually it’s about 135/87 to 140/90 but after routine to being busy all day it’s comes 143/90 . Not one time I went to GP with writing my blood pressure down twice a day for 7 days and they says that’s normal blood pressure and I lose my hope that they will do something, only nurse when check my blood pressure it’s tells that to my age it is high and doctors just ignores my symptoms, and try to say that this is anxiety 🤦‍♀️I have taking Enalapril 20mg for couple days and my blood pressure comes down 125/75 or 120/70 and I feeling perfect but this medication Gives my friend and after when finish I don’t know what I have to do , even I don’t feel to go to GP

Hello :-)

Blood pressure will fluctuate throughout the day and depending what you have been doing

We can help our blood pressure with diet , no salt and exercise

I really do not think it is a good idea at all to be taking your friends medication and would advise you to stop taking them

If you are not happy with your Doctor and feel they do not care then I would see another Doctor or change surgeries

Let us know how you get on :-) x

Hello :-)

I am a Mum of 3 to even though they are all grown up now but I have done all you have mentioned in the past juggling things as Mums do

You are leading a good healthy lifestyle which will help and maybe then try booking in to see another Doctor in the same surgery who may listen and have a different outlook over your blood pressure but I still have to say it is not wise to take others medications :-)

Good luck and let us know how you get on :-) x

Eat more fruit and veg, try to avoid heavily processed food, and take regular exercise. Do not take someone else's medication.

From your post you seem to suffer greatly with anxiety which will have a very negative impact on your BP ie. anxiety can make BP soar. There are as many opinions about BP as there are GPS! What one regards as high another will view as normal, try to get a second opinion.

I agree with the others, don't take your friend's medication, lead a healthy lifestyle as possible and if you drink lots of tea or coffee remember that caffeine will increase BP

Good luck.

make sure you are seated for 5 mins before taking bloood pressure, you are in relaxed environment and seated well. Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated. Yoga does relax your mind and walking is good.

hi I have dilated cardiomyopathy and never had hi blood pressure but now on lots of medication for it and have a ICD the medication I take keeps my blood pressure low to protect my heart and I feel light headed and so time fall over. I think you should go back to the GP they need to do tests. The first time I went to the doctor they said I was fine and a few months later I ended up in hospital and they told me that there was major damage to my heart and been under the hospital ever since

Hi first I am so sorry you are very anxious regarding your health.

My BP was the same as yours for 20 years .My GP considered this was borderline when considering medication.

Never take anybody else’s medication.

If you are still feeling light headed and your vision is blurred go back to your GP ,he will take bloods and try and get an answer to your symptoms.

You are leading a normal life as a busy mum .

Let us know how you get on.

i am sorry to hear that you feel you have high blood pressure - you say you eat fresh, home cooked food and get regular exercise and that is good

when a doctor asks you to write down your BP for a week, they look at the pattern to see how often it is high and when - your doctor seemed to have no concern about your BP - so maybe you feel your doctor is ignoring your concern

you are also worried that high BP can cause kidney infection - usually, if a kidney infection is treated it does not cause long-term high BP, this can happen if kidney infection is not treated and/or the kidneys are damaged - but high BP over many years can cause kidney damage, and that is why doctors usually treat high BP - it sounds like you doctor does not think your BP is so high that you need pills for it

you should not take pills which are not prescribed for you, people who take some types of BP pills are monitored with regular blood tests by their doctor for side effects - you will not be monitored if the pills are not prescribed

if you are still worried could you keep taking your BP once or twice a day, when you are quiet and sitting, so you can see if there is a pattern and you can show your doctor or nurse when you go again - also can you find some time for you to relax during the day ? try to do something you enjoy for a short time, mothers need a break too🌺🌺🌺

Please Change your Doctor .150 over 95 is not good. Start taking medicine before consult medical professional

Do I Understand correctly that you have been taking some BP tablets that were given to your friend? IF that's correct you must NEVER take tablets that are for someone else. Pleas go back to your own doctor and tell hem you think they are ignoring your BP and you are not happy. Anxiety does raise BP so take it twice a day when you are quiet and relaxed at home and take a week of readings to the doctor

Blood pressure the bee in my bonnet. It's been a journey for me regarding blood pressure. it is very complexed. As many have said it will fluctuate during the day. However what my cardiologist wanted was an average over 24 hrs so I had to wear a blood pressure monitor from the hospital. I was already on lisinopril and spironolactone for blood pressure. This was started back in April onwards. Now when I was first diagnosed with my issue it all started with high blood pressure something like 170/108. I have a picture of me in A&E. Admittedly it was not constantly this high. And sometimes when I went do doctors it would be about 140/90 on the old fashioned pump up machines. But after 4 months the blood pressure was averaging 130/85. But I had to increase the lisinopril by 5mg as the bottom figure of 85 needed to be lower for longer periods of time. However I can get the blood pressure down to 117/ 70 or something around these figures. Especially after a good walk for 15 minutes around the park, and after some muscle relaxing exercises. My blood pressure can still go to 150/90 but I have not had very high readings like I use to get. So something is definitely working. It is important to have some concerns with blood pressure as many issues can arise. But I think my lower blood pressure will help with preload and afterload which all effect the heart and valves. it is quite complexed.
