hello all hope your all keeping well.

had my son's 6 monthly check up today and Dr's are happy no significant changes. They said they would probably do a MRI in a year and maybe a bike stress test.

would i be wrong in asking if they could do the MRI sooner. Brief history my son diagnosed at 7mths with development delay,then at 1.5 years mild Cerebral Palsy, then at 4 years old with Autism and 2019 with HCM and Aortic root dilatation. I can't stop worry that the heart conditions will get worse and the research ive done shows that a MRI would give a clearer picture of his conditions. Any thoughts please 🙏🏾

I can see why you have concerns based on your son's medical history.

Just put your case to the specialist/Dr, what do you have to lose?

I read your post and thought what a wonderful Mother you are dealing with your Sons conditions and doing everything you can to make sure he gets the best care and so I would say yes ask you have nothing to lose by doing so and I really hope they say yes and you will let us know x

i wonder if they are deciding to wait based on his current symptoms? But if you tell them of your concerns, do ask them the reasons they decided to wait.

Thank you all for your comments. I have decided to ask if they can do this sooner. I have also asked why they are waiting. Its so difficult dealing with this condition with my son's additional needs but the hospital are brillant and very super so I will let you know the outcome
