ever since my WPW attack, ive had changes in my vision… blurry, light sensitivity… was wondering if anyone else had vision changes that proceeded with their heart problems? if it got better? if so, what did you do? thanks.

Hi, After my heart attack I had blurred vision with some flashes of light - it turned out to be something called posterior vitreous detachment which caused blurred vision and black spots. I've been told that my brain will get used to it and my vision will improve. I went to my optician, who sent me to the hospital on the same day, as she wanted to be sure it wasn't a retinal tear or detachment. So some eyesight things can be an emergency, you may want to go to see an optician.

how is your vision today? and how long has this been going on? did you go to a special eye doctor to get that diagnosis? or just a regular optometrist?

Hi, I think my ability to see is slowly improving - it is less annoying for sure. I got the diagnosis from the opthamologist at the hospital where my optician sent me. The first place to go is your optician if you have one but you could see if your local hospital has an eye emergency department - mine does but I live in London. Good luck!
