Coronary (ishmael) heart disease
I doubt anyone on the forum is qualified to advise. You could discuss this with your GP or maybe the BHF nurses.
When I was offered a triple bypass it was (rightly or wrongly) with a recommendation to have the bypass rather than more stents (I'd had two when I had a heart attack). My surgeon even said that a bypass should give me 25 years without the need for further intervention as opposed to 10 years for stents. Obviously this was a recommendation for me personally. He assessed my mortality risk to be considerably less than 1%. I am a bit surprised that you have been provided with the information you have without a clear explanation.
Hopefully you will get some answers soon.

if your doctor gives you information which is meant to help you make a decision it is part of their job and responsibility to help you understand the information - if you do not understand it you can not make an informed consent
ask your doctor to explain what this means and how it could affect you
doctors can not expect us to "comply" with treatment if we do not understand what it means to us
Thanks all at the time i didn't understand it all .all i knew was both operations will save my life so instead of being opened up i decided on stent .i couldn't really understand what the doctors was saying to me i couldn't take it in what was going on. now 2 years on i think i decided wrong i get lots of angina pain in my neck and left arm i can feel my chest go tight .ive only ever had one fitness test since leaving hospital all my nuse says is it appointment over phone now .im gobsmacked they dont follow up more often.
