Dental Implants

I had a heart attack back in June last year, had a stent fitted and have recently had a crt d fitted last month.

My question is, my teeth are in tatters and I may need to consider implants... will this be possible?

Hi I have some crowns/ caps that need replacing I was told by the hospital not to have any major work done for at least 6 months. Im now 14 weeks post HT but I had a 4x CABG as well so that may make a difference.

Im sure someone more knowledgeable we be along soon.

Eventually it will be possible you could ask your Consultant if you are still in contact , Doctor and even your Dentist when you maybe looking at to get it done but for now you will have to put it on hold but at least it is a yes to it been possible x

Hi. I had an Aortic Valve Replacement in September 2021 and started the process of getting a tooth implant and some replacement crowns in February 2022. The dentist was happy enough to do the procedure with the only precaution of taking penicillin one hour before any invasive treatment started. The full treatment took about six months and I’m pleased to say it’s all now successfully finished. Chat to your dentist as I’m sure they will have come across people like us before. All the best.
