Ive been on 2.5 bisopherol since june 7th. lve gradually got worse and worse with my leg pains to the point l could not walk .Every bone ached and joints painful .l decided to cut to half 1.25 and within 4 days l'm feeling marginally better every day. I'm still on a channel blocker and plavix bp at 120 over 76. Anyone else experienced leg pains ?

No, I haven’t had that problem with Bisoprolol, which I’ve taken for a few years,

Did you speak to your GP before halving the dose? Or called 111?

I've been on Bisoprolol 2.5 mg for a year. I do get horrendous pain in my left leg but it may be because of my spinal problems. Have you considered splitting your dose and taking half in the morning and half in the evening? You may be able to tolerate it better.

I am on the same dose as you. I am having no leg problems. As suggested above I take my dose in two halves, morning and evening. Maybe that is the trick?

yes. I’ve assumed it was sciatica and the weather turning cooler but this gives a new perspective.

I take 3.75mg bisoprolol in the morning for BP. Does it have the same effect if you split it in two and take half in the mornings and half in the evening?

Hello Cupcake 8908 I take the same dose of Bisoprolol no leg problems, I came off statins some time ago as they caused a lot of problems.

I have severe LV dysfunction and take bisoprolol, it does not suit me and along with other medications I am constantly tired, my blood pressure drops to low. I have been advised to take it when I go to bed.

No and I've been taking 10 mg of bisoprolol for about 8 years now. It works well for me.

Bring it up with your GP as it could be any number of common complaints that people get when the weather starts to turn and it could also be a rare side effect of the Bisoprolol. Without medical intervention you will never know.

Bisopropol is a lifesaver , I have been on 12.5 gms for 7 yrs , 10 in the morning 2.5 at night .

Any adverse reaction ( and yours seems really extreme ) should be reported and yellow carded to help others if such a reaction is known .

Your meds will be changed by the doc and any reaction monitored , it is foolish to halve the dose , and it is a very , very small dose of Bisopropol. Contact your doc re the severe reaction..

I work part time , and enjoy holidays .
