I’ve been on Amlodopine for a month now but my BP is too low. Can you just stop taking them without a replacement?

Help!
If you just stop you might get a dangerous rebound the other way. What are you calling low?
I was on Amlodipine and did stop immediately after having a serious side effect. You will manage for a very short time without but advise talking to GP about suitable alternatives.
Talk to your prescribing health professional (your GP?) before making any changes. If you can't wait try the NHS 111 service.
Did you take just one reading or are you basing your reaction to an average of readings?
BP varies through the day.
A BP of 103/46 is certainly low.You could possibly just take the Amlodipine alternate days-- but check in with you Dr in the morning.
As others have said talk to your GP asap.Take your readings with you and take several times during the day.Never stop medication without talking to your GP and if it’s a weekend or bank holiday ring 111 .
Simple answer - NO
As others have said, speak to your GP. It may be that you are on too high a dose. If you are having side effects, then mention that as alternative medication is available.
Best to see a doctor as soon as possible and ask them for something else in tablets. Those tablets didn't suit me at all. I had lower leg blisters and still got the marks as well
have you asked your GP why you are taking a medication for high blood pressure?
