sores in nose

I’m not on flecanide but do on occasions get sores inside my nose. These type of sores are often often like cold sores and responds well to the same treatment. I get the over the counter cold sore cream and use a cotton bud to apply it. I’m not medically trained but it’s just what works for me
Hi. Not sure about flecanide but in the past I’ve been given naseptin by my gp and ent for this type of thing. Ent also recommended sinus rinsing using a neilmed kit. It’s worth a try.
Hi. It’s a plastic bottle used for nasal irrigation with sachets of saline solution. You can but them in boots or on Amazon etc you don’t need the Neilmed brand there are tons of different makes. I was given one by ENT as I had damage (a sore) inside my nose caused by sinus surgery. It’s used for flushing out your nasal passages and it keeps the inside of your nose from drying out. And washing away allergens etc. They cost about £9 to buy. You could also ask your GP to prescribe Naseptin cream. It contains an antibiotic and antiseptic. If nasal drying is a problem you can also buy Ayr saline gel. Hope this helps.
I've also been given naseptin by ENT but I find it numbs my nose so badly I can't use it. Going back to see them again next week so will ask for that moisturiser. My nose is dreadfully dry just one side. Thanks.
Hi. I don’t think they’ll prescribe Ayr saline gel but you can but it on Amazon. It soothed my nose really well. The sinus rinses are good if you can tolerate them. The ent consultant told me to rinse with cooled boiled water, a few drops of glycerin and a little bit of glucose. I know it sounds really weird but worked really well. Something to do with clearing the biofilm. My doc prescribed a ready made solution on the advice of the ent consultant but it’s easy to make yourself. Good luck.
Thaks. I'll see what they say next week then start investigating myself. My right nostril is driving me crazy. I guess he'll just s tickeh camera up again and say there's nothing wrong.
Never used to happen but since Last autumn I have sores in nose, my eyes also water a lot , especially when below 15C. I notice the inside of the nostrils are cold. Green solids which suggest infection if I blow nose, sometimes some blood. Worse in Winter but chronic.
Also I have cold feet when I used to be always a person with hot feet.
Apparantly carvedilol (BB), can cause some of this. Maybe also forxiga as puts more sugar in urine, maybe it does in mucus elsewhere too.
Sounds awful 😞
