Hi everyone! I posted a few months back on how dreadful my diagnosis was. It was the days when I'm at lowest.
I met with my cardiologist the other week and has given me wonderful news! I moved from severe to moderate and my heart function has also increased to 43%! I started from 15% back in January. So to everyone who has been recently diagnosed with it, don't worry, it'll get better!

I could not be more pleased for you and as much as many people would have told you that this is the outcome most likely to happen its not until those magic words are spoken that you realise you have turned a huge corner.
Fantastic news and I hope that this is just the start of your recovery journey and I for one will be pleased to hear more of it as you progress along.
Take care and thanks again, you have brightened up a dull morning.
Thank you! I was really pleased with the results. I hope so myself as i asked the doctor if i may have a chance for a full recovery. He said i do, not guaranteed, but hey, even at the slightest chance, I'd take it! I hope everyone who's had a hard time like me has a chance to read and see my post let them know that we're gonna be better in time.
What great news DonCruz - and thank you so much for sharing it. Uplifting stories like yours give so many people a great deal of encouragement. Carol 👍😀
Superb news, really pleased for you, as a previous poster said, it is so uplifting for others.
Still awaiting my results from Feb, (but treat no news as good news), had my firstly yearly blood test Wednesday. Nurse couldn't get hold of me yesterday so awaiting a call today.
Yes, this post is to show appreciation to the group and to inspire people who are going through tough times that even with our condition, we can get better!
Brilliant news. It will help your confidence. Good luck for the future.
I was interested in your story. My ef was estimated at 40 to 44 percent. According to my echo and my specialist says I don't have heart failure. But due to my congenital heart disease. Of faulty tricuspid valve the heart is not efficient on the right side. However Iam going for an mri on Monday so more information will be obtained. What medication are you on? Iam on lisiniprol and spironolactone at present. But it is good news for you.
I had my mri's last may, so that didn't show much on why i had this. I'm currently on bisoprolol, ramipril and spironolactone. they took me off from statins already.
Thanks for the reply. I will keep in mind your medication. Good luck. And keep well.
Hi, That's good news for you, although you're not quite up to my extravagant 45-50%, but, I never started as low as you have. I hope it keeps going well. 👍
I am so happy to read your post, I was diagnosed with LV HF (15% EF) end of last month. I didn't know it could improve and all my googling said I only had 3-5 yrs to live. I would love to hear back from others with similar condition who have outlived these scary Google statistics.
