Is it normal to bruise on this medicine. I seem to be bruising a lot and how no recollection of what I have done to explain the bruises.

Hello there.

Yes it is common to bruise on Clopidogrel. I am on the tablet and it happens to me.

Don’t know about that medicine but it certainly happens with warfarin

Yes. It happens to everyone

Low dose aspirin is the same, certainly for me.

My dad has just started on clopidogrel for a year following a NSTEMI, he is already on dagabitran and to take both now. He looked like he’d done 12 rounds with Mohammed Ali when he came out of hospital. The bruising is more frequent so I would assume it does, I believe it’s an anti-platelet. Take care❤️

It is very common. It doesn’t signify much. Time to invest in some Armica!

I have found the same. Bruises do seem to appear from 'nowhere'!

Hi. I think so. It’s an anti platelet, like aspirin. I take Ticagarel (sp?), which is another one, and a slight tap makes me bruise.

Hi yes it happens to me too. The bruising just ‘appears’ from nowhere. I went to my GP who said it was common and couldn’t explain why. So please don’t worry :)

Bruising is very normal. It stops your blood from being sticky and clotting too quickly so the slightest touch causes bruising. You probably have aspirin too which also causes bruising. Don't worry. It will stop when the medication is stopped.

Hi, Clopidogrel had the same effect on me, now just slightly with Aspirin. But can I just say anaemia also causes similar bruising . Easily answered with a blood test or your GP may already have that result from any general bloods you’ve had done lately.

I bruise very easily on it too.

Never bruised on clopidogrel but had HUGE bruises on ticagrelor for no apparent reason.
