Having been on holiday in Wales for the past week, I've had the chance to do a bit of walking.
The biggest challenge was to walk up Herrock hill, now, I always say I hate walking up hills!!, so I tend to avoid them, but my daughter was with me every step of the way, encouraging me and she wasn't going to let me fail.
Well I made it to the top and I was ecstatic with the achievement, I proved to myself I can do.
It definitely feels like I've climbed my own personal mountain x
You can see the herrock hill in the photo attached x

Well done ! I was told to take someone with me going up a hill if I was worried, just for reassurance and encouragement - there is a little hill , or incline!, near me that I haven't been able to go up for a couple of years because of the angina, now I can ! We can build on these achievements and do more...may you go up many more mountains !!
The more you do the better it is . At rehab I’ve learnt to trust my heart repair and am being encouraged to push on as much as I can . Walking is excellent but try to have ten minute bursts of walking fast to really raise the heart activity to the point of being breathless . This all depends on your overall fitness but you’ll really benefit from working your heart a bit harder as it’s a muscle that requires a work out . Cardio rehab has been brilliant for me as it’s made me less anxious and nervous and it’s now about getting fitter . Good luck 👍
