Unusual angina

I've had angina for years, always as lower jaw pain on physical stress. A few days ago I suddenly developed the jaw pain which extended up into my facial bones and was accompanied by the feeling that someone had dropped a lump of lead on my chest with a surge of pressure up my throat into my jaw. I was relaxed, sitting down at the time. Two puffs on my GTN spray did nothing so I pressed my alarm. About 10 minutes later it all began to subside, and gently faded away so I cancelled the ambulance which I won't do if it happens again. The whole episode lasted about 30 minutes. I'm also having investigations for hypertension at the moment.

All this ended with a day in the Medical Assessment Ward, chest xray, ECG, bloods etc where I was told it had not been a heart attack, just another episode of angina. "Go home and see your GP".

Has anyone else ever had anything like this?
