Brain function damaged after HA

Hi all. I’m looking for some advice or similar experiencing following a heart attack and a noticeable difference in cognitive impairment please. I had a STEMI last August and returned to a relatively senior job in January. I noticed I was not completely with it to begin with but thought this was down to not being in work mode for 5 months. I am since realising it’s something more significant - I can’t remember what I’ve said and agreed with my staff, repeat myself and am forever apologising for feeling like an idiot. I was initially blaming the meds. It seems like it’s getting worse now although it might be I am just more aware. I will speak to my GP but just wanted a sense from others. I know there is medical evidence of brain function loss but I daren’t read how significant this is. Thanks v much. Chris

Hi Chris,

Deficiencies can also cause dementia like symptoms....they tend to creep slowly too.

Vit D, B12, Iron, Folate.

Good luck, and please let us know how you get on.
