loop removal
Hi
I had mine removed without any problem. Just a small scar but way more comfortable without it. 👍
Hi, I had a linq recorder fitted over 3 years ago. I’ve been told that the battery is still ok but it had a 3 year life. I was originally told that it would be taken out but about a year ago I was told that they sometimes leave them in now. Easier for them I suppose. They said women tended to prefer to leave them in so they don’t get a scar on their chest. Bigger scar getting it out than putting it in apparently. I’m undecided. 66 year old male not bothered about a scar but the recorder isn’t noticeable at all so I could think why not just leave it in. Covid and waiting lists also come into it. I’ll probably not have to decide for another 12 months or so.So, my advice, do as you prefer. No real right or wrong.
I have a loop recorder in that no longer works and was considering asking my cardiologist to have it taken out.
I am requesting my be removed once finished. The manufacturing company advise removal, but cardiology advise does not need to be removed. I just feel if I leave it in, it could be one of those things that in years to come; they announce problems with them!! I am the cautious type I will add!!
