Tiredness, any ideas please

Good morning from a wet Norfolk. I am getting concerned as every morning I wake up tired, when I move, it feels like lead weights are attached to every limb. I walk from room to room and search the nearest chair, I make a bed and left breathless. I have CHF and have had a CRT P implanted. I’m on a load of meds since August and I get palpitations and A F. Any quick movement makes my heart flutter and I become short of breath. Do you think Magnesium would help as I’ve heard lots about it on here or should I seek medical advice.

Talk to your AF nurse from what I know, your pacer should be helping to overcome the symptoms you are experiencing.

You should rule out anaemia as this can have the effect that you describe. It is important that you seek appropriate medical advice.

Take care and I hope you find some answers.

Tiredness is linked with HF as is anaemia. I wouldn't suggest any changes to your routine without speaking to your medical team, they're the experts & it may simply be a need to tweak your medication.

I take magnesium and I think it does help . Takes a while to kick in but I have read most people are magnesium deficient

I’m going to do so tomorrow but my GP’s are not generally helpful

So I try and self care where I can, as I live in Norfolk we don’t have a HF nurse, we have a community matron who does not specialise in HF

Hi NorfolkGal, I am also in Norfolk. I have SVT and am under the care of the N&N. I see an arythmia nurse there and I have found them to be better than the doctors. They told me to call if I have any problems and I have recently been to see them as have been feeling breathless on and off for a few months. Maybe worth asking your GP to refer you to a cardiac nurse there for your condition if possible.

Thank you that’s good advice, I have seen them before and it was them that admitted me to hospital the last time. I suppose Protocol is to see GP but that could take a few days

I checked my SATS last night and ranging from 93-95, so I’ve taken an extra forusimide today as breathing is very tight, this might be a part of tiredness

Maybe you could speak to one of the BHF nurses on this site for guidence & advice

Hi, Don't worry about protocol, it's you, you need to be concerned about and no one else from a medical perspective. My HF Nurse phones my GP practice if she makes a change to my medication, so everyone is in the loop as to what's happening !! Seeing other posts I reckon we have a brilliant GP practice which should be the norm not the exception !! I wouldn't change your Magnesium balance without advice, my Cardiologist only this week said how important the chemical balance is in preventing arrhythmia problems.
