Hi,I am sravan 123 from india.I had three stents in the year 2021 following positive TMT test and chest pain.I have been prescribed tabs, cliopidogrel, stations, beta blockers and aspirin.I am regularly using medicine and doing walking and cycling. Recently I felt chest pain and fatigue.I met my cardiologist and advised CT angio. To my surprise, the result is mild in stent restenosis. I was really surprised at the result because my stents are drug eluted. My cardiologist given two weeks time and added tab Nicorandil 5 mg and advised coronary angio. What re treatment options .Can anyone have this problem.pls advice

In stent restenosis
Hello
I am sorry what you are going through and I do not have any knowledge on this I can give you but when other members read your post they will
I just wanted to say Welcome and you will get a lot of support and good advise on here x
Whilst restenosis is not exactly common it is not exactly rare. There are two main causes to it.
The first is simply the body rejecting the stent and there is little one can do about it.
The second more common cause is people not making the lifestyle changes, i.e. not taking medication as prescribed, not trying to achieve or maintain a healthy BMI, not smoking, not exercising and eating a healthy diet. The BHF recommend a Mediterranean diet.
