CT Angiogram

Good Morning, I'm off to have a CT scan tomorrow I've never had one of these before, I've had a few angiograms but my surgeon doesn't want me to have another one for a while. I have three stents and the last angiogram showed a small vessel that was totally blocked but was too small to stent. I'm getting lots of symptoms that don't show up on ECG.

I spent a week in hospital last June and they wanted to do a CT scan while I was in the but the wait was too long so I went on the urgent list for one, the Dr in the A&E was concerned that I had more heart damage. I was admitted as my heart rate was quite high for a few hours, it did settle on its own.

I don't really know what to expect from the CT angiogram but it would be good to know why I'm getting these pains more and more. My Cardio nurse thinks I probably have small vessel disease as well, does anyone know if this test will show if I have this problem?

Hello :-)

Before I had my Bypass operation I had the angiogram that showed it looked liked I needed a triple Bypass

After the angiogram though I had to have the CT scan for more images so they must be good and give them the information they need to know what to do next

There is nothing to fear from the scan it is a simple procedure so you will cope fine with it :-)

Trust them they are the experts and they must feel this is enough to do to move forward :-) x

Thank you for your reply, I am sure this will put my mind at ease whatever they find or don't find. Are you now feeling the benefits of your triple bypass?

Hello :-)

I know it is not easy but I try so hard to tell myself that no matter how much I worry it will not change the outcome and then I tell myself they are so good now and so advance if and it is an if there was anything wrong they can do something to help put it right , like I say not easy but I do try as hard as I can to keep focusing on those thoughts :-)

3 years ago I had double pneumonia ended up in icu etc and my body took a battering

Then Oct 2020 I had my first heart attack followed by another in Feb 2021 and then March 2021 and my triple Bypass in August 2021

So my body had to deal with quite a lot they say in a short time

It has left me struggling and held up my recovery and I am suffering with PSTD as well as I already suffered with anxiety before all this happened so I do not feel I am doing well even though the professionals say I am :-)

Thank you so much for asking that is very kind of you :-) x
