Hi ive just had a crtd fitted last friday, i have felt fluttering a couple of times, however ive not felt any for last couple of days. Is this normal not to feel it, or does it mean pacing not working?

Thanks

I had mine fitted 18 months ago, and have never felt anything, but the monitoring team call me from time to time to say all is well. If you are concerned, give them a ring.

Hi , when I first had my CRTD fitted I had like a strong beat and fluttering and when I told the pacing clinic they said it was probably a muscle twitching or nerve . They checked everything and nothing showed up . Just ring whoever and make sure

Its quite normal (and better I think!) not to feel anything even when the device is working normally. When I first had mine I could often feel pulsing from one of the three leads. This was muscles in the area being stimulated by the electrical pulse. I found it very distracting and unhelpful and with some device reprogramming it has been reduced a lot. I'm hoping with a bit more tweaking I won't feel it ever which will make it much easier to forget I even have the implant for much of the day.
