Reverse blockages?

Can arterial blockages be reversed? Has anyone achieved it? How did you do it? Even if only slight reduction I'm still curious to know.

Extremely unlikely without some form of controlled medical physical intervention. If it were possible cardiology treatments would be transformed.

Isn't that what we know as 'stent' or 'bypass' surgery?

Hi Don,

I have a 90% blocked distal LAD diagnosed 10 years ago and consequently researched this. Unfortunately once blocked it seems only fitting stents will unblock.

If you are unfortunate enough to have high cholesterol, statins will help to stabilise existing plaques and prevent or slow new blockages from forming .

The good news is that the heart has ways of bypassing these blockages with 'collateral flow'. This is the production of a network of smaller arteries which bypass the blockage to keep everything working, but I guess it won't totally replace the blocked artery so the result could be a bit of angina when the heart is required to work a bit harder.

I think it's important to exercise to keep the heart healthy but definitely not to overdo it if you already have issues.....it's a marathon not a sprint.

Good luck

Sometimes (I believe) that a cardiologist might do an angiogram and decide that the blockage is not serious enough to physically unblock. In my case, it was a case of not being able to do so completely.

Medication (initially an infusion overnight) and subsequently rivaroxaban, clopidogrel and aspirin actually cleared the clots

youtube.com/watch?v=QOWF0KT... The fella in this video claims to have done it and I don't think he would lie. I have tried myself by going on a low carb diet, but not quite keto and had no success. Possibly, I have slowed the process of atherosclerosis down, but it is impossible to say.

I don't think the video link above works so you would have to go to Youtube and search for How I reversed 20 years of arterial plaque Ford Brewer MD.

Thanks all

I have had 3xCABG but post managed to drop all my levels really low. I'm kind of curious now if reversal of original blockages is possible.

Thanks again
