24hr blood pressure monitor

Has anyone bought an ambulatory blood pressure monitor the 24hr one..? Have seen a few online but wondering how easy readings would be for GP or consultant to check. I’ve been told I should get the 24 hr readings done every couple of months so I thought it might be better to have one of the devices at home.

If your health professionals have told you you need to have fairly regular 24 hour BP readings why are they not providing you with the means to do this? There is no guarantee that anything you buy will be up to the standard that professionals use, nor for them to be able to extract the data so they can use it. When I had to do a one off 24 hour BP reading session some time ago the GP provided me with the equipment to do it.

Hi, yes it was really to avoid the hassle of having to keep re visiting the hospital to get it then return it the following day. I had one last year and just thought it would be so much easier if I had the equipment myself. I had wondered about them being able to get the data. Thanks for your reply
